Some moments deserve more than a place on a screen.
When was the last time you found a postcard in your mailbox?
Not a bill. Not an ad. But a little piece of somewhere else. A photograph, a few words, and for a moment, the feeling that someone wanted to share something with you.
That feeling is exactly what inspired Imaglet.
We take more photographs today than ever before. We share them, keep scrolling, and often forget them just as quickly. Imaglet wants to bring some of those moments out of the digital world and back into real life.
With Imagine a Place, a new place makes its way to your home every month. A carefully selected photograph and the story behind it, printed on paper, tucked into an envelope, and sent on its way to your mailbox.
No endless feeds. No notifications. Just something real that you can hold in your hands, keep, or pass on to someone else.
Photography. Places. Words.
Imaglet grew out of a love for photography, travel, and the little stories that make a place special.
These three things have been part of my life for a long time. I’ve been collecting postcards for more than 15 years from places near and far. And yes, I even have one from my little hometown of just 40,000 people! Photography has fascinated me since I was a child, and for the past five years, my Canon has been my trusty companion on every trip. Writing is also a big part of my life, both personally through my blog and professionally through my work with language and content.
Imaglet brings these three passions together: photography, places, and words.
For me, it’s not about ticking off the world’s most famous sights or always capturing the perfect “Instagram or TikTok worthy” moment. Beauty doesn’t have to be spectacular. Sometimes, you just have to open your eyes to see it all around you.
It’s about atmosphere. A street early in the morning, a window somewhere in the distance, the light on a particular afternoon, or a place with a story worth telling. And sometimes, it might simply be a busy square filled with people, voices, and movement. Because that’s real life too, isn’t it?
Every edition of Imagine a Place is an invitation to be somewhere else for a moment.
And perhaps a little reminder that not everything has to be digital.
Moments that find their way to you.
Maybe a postcard ends up on your fridge. Maybe in a drawer filled with memories. Maybe one day you’ll send it on to someone else.
Whatever happens to it, I want to bring a little more anticipation back to the mailbox.
Welcome to Imaglet ♡
